I am very flexible and offer my counselling services in three formats: In-Person, By Phone or via Skype. The intent is to make you feel as comfortable as possible and to make my services as accessible as possible.
» By Phone
Phone counselling can be very helpful to those who are unable or uncomfortable to visit a counselling office. Counselling by phone is treated much the same way as in-person sessions.
* Please note that the client is responsible for all long distance charges.
» Online (via Skype)
Skype is a free software that allows you to have free calls, video conferencing and chats on the internet. You will need a computer, internet connection and either a headset or a computer with built in speakers and microphone. You can learn more about the software and download it here: www.skype.com
Counselling using Skype is a great alternative to receiving counselling without having to leave the comfort of your home. Skype is treated in the same way as any in-person session. Even from a long distance we still are sharing a common space. I strive to create a safe space in which we can explore issues together. I try to pick up and communicate to you about subtle information that comes through the tone of your voice, the atmosphere and images and feelings that I see. Some of the advantages of Skype-based counselling are:
Advantageous to those living in a remote areas where counselling services are not available.
Addresses feelings of discomfort about visiting a counsellor's office, or you do not want others to know that you are seeing a counselor.
Would like to explore issues in an environment where you feel most comfortable.
Helps those who are busy and cannot find time to travel for counselling.
