I charge $ 85 CND per 50 minute session, plus HST (12%). The cost is the same for phone, Skype and in-person sessions. This rate is less than the recommended $120 fee set forth by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
For phone and Skype based sessions, you will be sent an invoice via email one week prior to our session. The invoice, which is handled by Paypal, must be paid at least one hour prior to the session beginning. You can use any method of payment that PayPal accepts, including credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) or through your bank account (much like a debit card). All your financial information is handled securely by PayPal and I am not able to see any of your financial information. There are no extra fees for using PayPal. For in-person sessions I can either send you an invoice with PayPal, just as for phone or Skype based sessions, or I will accept cash. I will not accept cheques.
Please give me at least 48 hours cancellation notice. Please
note that canceled sessions with less than 48 hour notice or missed
sessions are charged as follows, unless it involves circumstances that
we both agree are an emergency:
- Canceled with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours notice; half of the session fee.
- Canceled with less than 24 hours notice or missed session: full fee.
note that payment, once made, is non-refundable.
However, if you cancel your session with more than 48 hours notice,
the fee can be applied to your next session. If you cancel your session
with less than 48 to 24 hours notice, half of your session fee can be
applied toward your next session.
